Who Am I

Hi! I am the parent of Pleasantville HS Triplet Seniors (2 boys and a girl) who attended all three schools in the district. I have experienced all schools in the district from three very different perspectives simultaneously. At times, it looked like three very different school districts to me.

Why I am Running
As a parent of high school graduating triplets, I have had the opportunity to simultaneously experience all three schools from three very different perspectives. I have been actively involved in the school district and community throughout their school career. Through my career and community involvement, I have developed a transparent and result oriented approach to problem solving. I would like to combine direct feedback from students, teachers, parents/guardians and the community with my skills and experience to bring all students to their limitless potential.

What I Hope to Accomplish
Pleasantville is always said to be a unique community. We are a strong school district and have developed great programs and produce robust students. We have significant school participation from community members whose children have long since graduated. The district has the community support and through past efforts, district resources, to propel our students to the next level.

Underperforming students can be performing students; good students can be great students and great students can be even better students with the appropriate curriculums, talent, technology and enrichment opportunities. We need to continually update what is needed to perform in colleges and society so we can develop the holistic 'Citizen Student.' Colleges and society seek individuals who have depth and differentiation beyond pure academics, and we need to grow our students from the beginning of their school career.

We can do more, and as a Board of Education Trustee, I would like to bring our district forward by being transparent, infusing challenging programs, continuing to attract top talent, strategically managing our resources, and prioritizing key components of our strategic plan.
